Wolf Mountain Estates… a prestigious mountaintop community featuring home sites and acreage with breathtaking scenic views at up to 3,000 feet. Come and experience the peaceful, untouched beauty of the mountain and see why it is one of Western North Carolina’s most premier developments, and why it could be the next and last place you call “home.”

Waterfall at wolf mountain estatesSpectacular views abound throughout the development, from the stately blue and purple mountains to rushing streams flowing between towering hardwood trees. Wolf Mountain Estates is conveniently located just 20 minutes west of Murphy in the westernmost tip of North Carolina among some of the largest yet most secluded and untouched mountains in the southern Appalachians. Residents are able to relax in the quiet, peaceful surroundings, but are close to modern conveniences and outdoor activities including shopping, whitewater rafting, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding, theatres, racing, sightseeing and much more. From large, elegant homes and cozy cabin retreats to rolling creekfront lots and properties with views you won’t find anywhere else, Wolf Mountain Estates is an ideal place in which to invest or make your nest!

Wolf Mountain was meticulously designed to preserve the mountain’s natural beauty and secluded privacy while enhancing its existing features, including rolling pastures, creeks and streams, large rock formations, gentle ridges and of course, magnificent views. Passers by see only a few rooftops peeking out from among the ridgetop trees, not bulldozed terraces with dozens of look-alike homes. All lots are generously-sized to ensure privacy, ranging from no less than 1 acre to as large as 10+ acres. Most properties are easily accessed from a well-developed network of paved roads. In all, the development boasts more than 600 total acres, secluded and protected from over-development.

Wolf Mountain was founded in 1988 by four Cherokee County natives. These men had a deep appreciation for the untarnished natural beauty found in the southern Appalachian Mountains. They had a vision to create a community that would reflect and protect the area’s God-given beauty. One of the men, Steve Crowe, of Appalachian Land Company in Murphy, has been the primary catalyst in the excavating of the proposed roads and lot development. His intense love for the mountains and his own personal community, as well as his reputable construction and development skills, have been the motivation in making Wolf Mountain Estates a wonderful place to live and an asset to the region.
