
Waterfalls in and around Toccoa, Boydville and Stephens County in the North Georgia Mountains, beautiful, peaceful and most within all within a casual walk, some you can even see from the road. All are worth a trip and a photograph.

Toccoa Falls

A 186' high Toccoa Falls is located on the campus of Toccoa Falls College and is one of the highest free-falling waterfalls east of the Mississippi River.
Directions: Take GA Alternate 17 for about a mile to the campus on the left. The waterfall is on the campus. Park in the parking lot by the gift shop, go inside, the fall is through the back door of the gift shop, after you go through the back door, walk along the stream a short distance to the base of the falls.

Caution: Keep in mind, waterfalls are beautiful, but they are not to be climbed on, they can be dangerous, people have been seriously injured and in some cases have lost their lives climbing on waterfalls, they are posted for a reason, so enjoy while you are there and take a photo home to remember.
