Cullasaja

The gauge is located at the SR 1620 bridge.

Put in: From Brevard take 64 West into Highlands.
In town the road will turn right leading you out of town.
The fee area for Dry Falls is on the left,
SR 1620 is the first road on the left after Dry Branch Falls.

Take Out: Drive upstream there will be a pull out to the right.

A lot of flat water with a few class 1-2 rapids. Great for first time paddlers.

Minimum Suggested Level: 350 cfs
Maximum Suggested Level: 2000 cfs

 

Nantahala River

Nantahala Gorge Season: 7 days a week all months except November and sometimes December
Cascades Season: After a heavy rain.
