With over 1,700 miles of trails, a variety of opportunities await you, from short, easy walks to long distance backpacking adventures. While all trails are open to hiking, some trails are also designed for horses, mountain bikes, and off-road vehicles. Horses and bikes may also be ridden on roads locked by gates, unless restrictions are posted. Four areas are designed for off-road vehicles. Trailhead signs are posted with symbols showing who can use the trail.
