The Blue Ridge Highlander is proud to be a sponsor of the Hiawassee Festival of the Arts, featuring 100 local and national artists specializing in watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, sculpture, jewelry, glass, wood and fiber art. To add to the pleasure of joining these great artists in the mountains, the World Jazz & Music Society will be performing live throughout both days.  There is a very diversified array of Food Vendors this year for your enjoyment.

Bring your children and grandchildren, watercolor artist and instructor Kathy Cochran Chastain will oversee the Children's Pavilion where children of all ages can experience the magic of watercolor painting. You will also be able to enjoy our "Artists of Tomorrow" exhibit featuring Art students from 1st through 12th grades from Towns, Clay and Union Counties.

For only a $5 entry fee and free parking, the non-profit Hiawassee Festival of Arts provides an affordable and spectacular cultural experience for all while raising scholarship funds for the Local "Artists of Tomorrow" Scholarship Program.
