Small Lake Fishing
Fort Mountain State Park
The lake contains bream, channel catfish and largemouth bass. Fishing is allowed year round from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Fishing is allowed from the bank only. Camping, picnic tables and restrooms are available. Swimming is allowed from Memorial to Labor Day in designated beach areas. Other activities are available at the park.

Lake Conasauga
Fish populations in the lake include Redear Sunfish, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, and Rainbow Trout. Trout are stocked three or four times each year. The lake is open all year with car access from April 14 until the last weekend in October. Picnic tables, restrooms, camping, swimming and a boat ramp are available from April to October. Gasoline motors are prohibited; no rental boats are available. Check with the District Forest Ranger in Chatsworth for more details.

Peeples Lake and Murray Lake
These lakes offer fishing for largemouth bass and bluegill in a wilderness setting. Vehicle access is possible to both lakes. The lakes are open year round to boat and bank fishing. No gasoline motors are allowed. There is an unimproved boat ramp and restroom on Peeples Lake, though Murray Lake has neither. Primitive camping is allowed at both lakes.
