The Georgia Mountain Fair, now in its 60th year, is a landmark event for the mountain community of Hiawassee. This 12-day event is perfect for the entire family and has become an annual tradition for many people.
From carnival rides, pony rides and educational demonstrations in the Pioneer Village to entertaining musical performances, agricultural and antique shows, and the ever-popular Miss Georgia Mountain Fair pageant, there is truly something for everyone.
The Georgia Mountain Fair offers a rare glimpse into north Georgia’s rural past with soap-making, blacksmithing, moon shining and hominy-making demonstrations, and tours of restored buildings in the Fairgrounds’ Pioneer Village. Attendees will also enjoy a juried arts & crafts show, featuring artisans from around the country.
Visitors are invited to tour the Fairgrounds’ Exhibit Hall where they will see antique farm equipment, a display featuring history of the fair and other unique exhibits.
