Sit on the porch and stay awhile in this brand new beautifully, kept cabin in Overlook Brasstown. This 3-bedroom cabin (one queen in each) has everything you need for a great vacation. Bring an air mattress for the kids in order to sleep 2 more; the bedroom up stairs is large enough for it. One of the lower bedrooms has glass doors to the wide back deck. The kitchen has granite countertops and is fully equipped with a grill on the porch.
Enjoy the fire pit beside the house to sit around, roast marshmallows and tell the kids stories of your childhood. Flat screen TV with DirecTV and a Wii game system.
Within a 20 minutes drive you can access one of the areas best recreation areas Fires Creek. With hiking trail loops as short at .7 miles to as long as 20 miles there is an adventure for everyone. Located on Fires Creek (should be called river) you will have the ability to float the river from the upper picnic area to the lower area where the waterfall comes out.
The John C. Campbell Folk School is located only a few minutes away. Stop by the craft shop and pick up their grounds map. Take your family and friends to explore the arts and crafts the way it was done so long ago. They offer Friday night concerts and twice-monthly contra dancing on Saturdays.
Other Recreational opportunities: The Nantahala River (for ages 7 and up) and the Ocoee River (ages 12 and up) are within a 45 minute drive. Don't forget about flying high among the trees and book a zip line canopy tour (ages 10 and up).
