For 30 years, the Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association (BRMAA) has, through performance, demonstration and education, strived to enhance and preserve the quality and accessibility of the arts in the North Georgia area. The mountains that surround the beautiful area of North Georgia, South East Tennessee and Western North Carolina inspire creativity and BRMAA provides a venue for all the talent enclosed in this mountainous cocoon. The primary goal of BRMAA has been to enhance and preserve the quality and accessibility of the arts in this region, to honor our rich heritage of mountain culture, while promoting contemporary multi-cultural arts. While art enriches the lives of our residents, the arts act as a catalyst for economic development in the community. As an organization, the Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association, endeavors to provide opportunities in the realm of art for personal growth of the individual and the economic growth of our community. BRMAA is located in the historic courthouse in Blue Ridge, GA, a small town at the gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains. BRMAA complements a vigorous downtown business area that focuses on the arts. Being only 90 minutes from downtown Atlanta has created a catalyst for vigorous growth in this area. Maintaining the eclectic artsy community is a challenge and is managed well by our Business Association, many of which are ardent supporters of BRMAA.
